Talk Art with Incognito Witch creator Mollie Kellogg
First Friday Artist Talk and Q&A at Bragg’s Pie Factory Frontal Lobe Gallery
PHOENIX, AZ, May 22, 2015 – Artist and filmmaker Mollie Kellogg wraps up the solo exhibit of her Incognito Witch Project with a Closing Reception, First Friday, June 5, 2015, 6-11pm, at Frontal Lobe Gallery, 1301 Grand Avenue, #2B, Phoenix, AZ.  At 7:30pm, join Mollie for an Artist Talk when she will explain her painting process, present the history and concepts of Celebrating Hidden Magick, and take questions from the audience.
Since its inception, many participants have expressed a bucket-list desire to be a part of the Incognito Witch Project as a way to promote self-empowerment and self-love, and have offered personal stories of healing that Mollie will share during her presentation. “Hopefully, instead of just making pretty pictures, I am making something that has an impact on people,” explains Kellogg.
“I see my art as a way to promote self-acceptance, laughter, play, healing, community and personal possibility,” says Kellogg. The Incognito Witch message has resonated with like-minded individuals and organizations that promote a mission to change the world through fine art and film. ArtRage Gallery, Syracuse, NY, and the Heal One World's Awareness Film Festival, Santa Monica, CA, screened Kellogg’s Paint My Life, which also received the LGBTQAI Track Award, Nine Worlds, London.

Opening Reception Photo Highlights Part 1 - Phoenix, AZ

The May 15, 2015 opening costumed reception and video shoot in Phoenix, AZ at Frontal Lobe Gallery was a blast. Despite rain, the diehard Incognitos braved the weather in a Celebration of Magick and let their Inner Witch shine!

MUSIC VIDEO SHOOT

Photos by Amy Daggett

Guests were invited to come in costume, adorn themselves with makeup and flowers, then participate as extras in a music video scene shot at the event. At what was also an art gallery opening for Mollie Kellogg's Incognito Witch "Selfies," they learned the steps and performed for the camera within the same hour, while other guests looked on.
The music video features the characters Ginger Anxiety and G, the Incognito Witch, played by Kellogg. Lyrics written and composed by Mollie Kellogg and T.Collins Logan touch on the Incognito Witch themes of suppressed Magick. In this video, the emotional tension between family members when mental illness is involved is expressed in lyrics and dance.
