G-6 in Beverly Hills - opening March 31, 2012

The opening reception will be on March 31, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Cush Salon and Cafe, 171 S. Robertson Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA. 90211. Refreshments complimentary.

The Forgotten Goddess presents a unique and powerful exhibit that will showcase art from victims of domestic violence at two Southern California venues – Cush Salon and Cafe in Beverly Hills, and Cal-State Northridge. The artists are women in the Outreach Support Group, The Crisis Shelter & Haven Two at Haven Hills, a 34-year-old domestic violence agency in the San Fernando Valley. The women will be using a template called “Inner-Self-Portrait from A Window Between Worlds, a nonprofit organization dedicated to using art to help victims heal. Other artists from all over the world will also be participating in the project, helping to further the vision of The Forgotten Goddess in empowering women through the arts, and working to end domestic violence through fundraising and awareness. Proceeds to benefit Haven Hills.

With it’s mission of “Inspire, Empower, Transform”, The Forgotten Goddess gives a voice to women across the globe by showcasing their art, and by providing gallery space, licensing, representation and fund raising for organizations dedicated to ending domestic violence.
